Korea Equestrian Association, 2022 Healthy Horse Racing Public Participation Monitoring Group Inauguration Ceremony

The Korean Horse Association held a ceremony to announce the start of the '2022 Healthy Horse Racing Citizen Participation Monitoring Group' on the 15th and the awarding ceremony of the letter of appointment. Kim Hong-Ki, head of the customer service division of the Korea Horse Association, attended this event and presented a letter of appointment to the representatives of the monitoring group.

The Healthy Horse Racing Public Participation Monitoring Group was first launched in 2021 to induce public interest in and voluntary participation in the eradication of illegal horse racing and prevention of the spread, and to establish a healthy horse racing culture. Through the activities of the national monitoring group, the purpose is to eliminate blind spots in the enforcement of illegal horse racing and to discover various ideas and reflect them in the illegal enforcement policy.

For the past two years, the illegal horse racing market has expanded significantly while legal horse racing practiced by the Korean equestrian society has stalled due to COVID-19. In particular, online illegal horse racing sites are popping up one after another, occupying more than 90% of the illegal horse racing market. However, the time and manpower are insufficient for the Korean horse society to crack down on these numerous illegal sites on their own.

Accordingly, the Korean Horse Racing Association is operating a monitoring group for participation in the public this year as well as last year, and effectively responds to illegal horse racing together with the public. Through an open recruitment in April this year, 21 members with interest and affection for the establishment of a healthy horse racing culture were selected.

The monitoring group is an illegal monitoring group representing the horse racing society, and it monitors and reports illegal horse racing sites and promotional posts, and proposes ideas for the eradication of illegal private horse racing.

If the illegal horse racing site you reported is closed or the illegal horse racing promotion post is deleted, you can receive a certain reward or activity fee. A special subsidy of up to 500,000 won is also awarded to members with excellent quarterly performance.

Kim Hong-Ki, head of the Korea Horse Association's Customer Service Division, said, "We expect that this monitoring group's activities will contribute to effective crackdown on illegal horse racing, enhancing the public interest and public interest, and at the same time helping to improve public awareness 경마사이트, which is one of the chairman's management philosophy."
